Track

Due to the global pandemic, thousands of employees are working from home. It’s essential to keep track of time and take frequent breaks during working hours. So how do you ensure to follow that regime? We recommend time tracking apps. These apps are also useful for every one working from home temporarily or permanently.

Toggl is now Toggl Track! We'll still be the Toggl you know and love on desktop, mobile, and web - but we're welcoming Toggl Plan and Toggl Hire into the family. We've also switched from tomato red to a cool new color scheme, so prepare for some new looks! Toggl Track for Mac is a native macOS application that can be installed on your computer. It works seamlessly with the web version of Toggl Track, syncing data on the fly. The desktop app also works offline; it stores data locally and sends it to the Toggl Track server once you’re back online. Download the App. Click here to download the app! Please note that this version of Toggl Track desktop app works only on macOS 10.11 El Capitan or newer.

Time Tracking apps aren’t limited to mobile platforms. One can use them on macOS too (that’s where the productivity hours matter, isn’t it?). Both the Apple App Store and Mac Store carry dozens of Time Tracking apps.

We have hand-picked five of the best time tracking apps. In this post, we will include its features, price, cross-platform availability, third-party integration, and more. Let’s get started.

1. Toggl

Toggl is one of the best time tracking apps for iOS and macOS. The app uses a clean and intuitive UI to navigate through menus and functions. From the home screen, tap on the play button, and you can add tasks, projects, tags, starting time, and ending time.

Here’s is how you can use it. You can create as many tasks with the play button. Toggl also lets you create folders and tags for the tasks. After that, go to the home screen, and whichever task you are starting, just press the play button, and the counting starts.

Every entry gets credited into the calendar add-on. The app supports the calendar from all the popular accounts, including iCloud, Gmail, and Outlook. But it won’t let you create events in the calendar. The integration is strictly for viewing the events.

The desktop app is similar to the iOS version. All the tasks and activities get synced over the Mac app. You can start an activity and track the time and view the data in the timeline tab.

Toggle provides one month of a free trial. After that, the pricing starts at $10 per month. The app is available on iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and as an extension for Chrome and Firefox.

2. Clockify

Clockify keeps things simple. From the home screen, there are two options. You can either add data manually or switch to timer mode for tracking time. I like this approach.

The user interface should not matter much in time tracking apps as you aren’t spending much time using the app. Even then, Clockify needs to pay attention to the UI as it’s quite outdated compared to rivals.

To add a task, the first switch to manual mode from the bottom swipe, add project name, task, tag, and estimated hours to get started. Now, from the home screen, switch to timer mode.

To start a timer for a task, swipe right on a task and hit the continue button and the timer will start. The app provides detailed stats from the dedicated reports menu. The app also supports dark theme from the settings menu.

Clockify’s Mac app is identical to the iOS variant. From there, you can add a task and start a timer for the added one. All the data gets synced over the Google account. The app is available on iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows. It’s completely free for personal usage. To read more details, head over to the company’s pricing page.

3. Hubstaff

Hubstaff is the best software solution for teams and organizations. It’s a boon for an admin who can create multiple projects, add tasks, and invite team members to contribute.

There is just one problem with Hubstaff — you can't create projects on the mobile or desktop app. You need to open the web app to create projects, and only then you can start the timer for it.

From the iOS app, one can start the timer for the task and even add a note for it. Go to the dashboard to view the stats and open timesheet to access the task-related data. There is also a map integration to see the activities of team members.

Hubstaff offers the best experience through the web. You can truly unleash the potential of the software. The features include third-party apps integration, to-dos, Clients list, and multiple pricing plans, based on requirements.

Hubstaff offers a free trial for 14 days. The software is accessible on iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, and Web.

Xcom® 2 collection crack. You can create and add projects with tasks. All the tasks get displayed on the home. Tap on the play button beside the task, and it will start the counting.

The Reports tab is one of the detailed ones out there. It displays the weekly and monthly data with tasks and projects.

The list of functions is more advanced on the desktop. You can see a detailed dashboard, create goals, timeline, and categories too.

TimeCamp is available on iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, Ubuntu, and Web. It comes with a 14-day free trial, and the pricing starts from $7 per month.

5. TickTick

TickTick isn’t the proper time tracking app. It offers a capable Pomodoro function out of the box. The only reason this app is on this is is because of the sheer number of features it brings to the table.

By default, the function isn’t switched on. You need to go to Settings > Tab Bar and enable the Pomo option.

First, you need to add tasks from the home screen. You can add name, date, time, tag, priority, and more to the task. Now, go to the Pomo section, select the task, and start the timer. The app also offers the Relax option, which advises you to take a break of five minutes.

One can also select the Pomo ringtone and Break Ringtone to distinguish between those activities. You can also set the goals from the Settings menu.

Other features include Habit tracking, calendar add-on, theming engine, detailed stats, and more.

The Mac app is similar to its iOS variant. The desktop app also lets you add notes and manage Kanban-style projects. TickTick is priced at $2 per month. The app is available on iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS.
